Splendor Solis, illustrated by Laurie Lipton
Trismosin's 'Splendor Solis' is a beautiful illuminated alchemical manuscript from the 16th century. The Ritman Library holds older and newer titles and published on the manuscript itself, for which American artist Laurie Lipton recreated all 22 images in colour pencil. A selection of 7 drawings is exclusively available for sale as a set of postcards, including envelopes. On the back, each postcard contains a short explanation of the image.
