Postcard - ‘The Devil'
XV The Devil represents human vices and uncontrolled urges. On a deeper level, the card symbolizes the darkness in which light can be born, thus throwing light on our dark sides and leading to self-knowledge. The Rider-Waite-Smith Tarot Deck, originally published in 1909, was conceived by A.E. Waite (1857-1942) and designed by Pamela Colman Smith (1878-1951). 11,1x6,4 cm | © EFM/Bibliotheca Philosophica Hermetica Collection
