Postcard - ‘Sol and Luna’.
Emblem 25/50: Sol and Luna (sun and moon) attack a winged dragon (volatile mercury). In the sea swims the Sea King (gold) almost perishing in mercury, similar to the human soul almost drowning in the waters of destruction. Michael Maier (1568-1622) describes phases of the alchemical process in Atalanta fugiens, 1618.
